I have a confession. Although I live in NYC now, I made several trips before I decided to officially become an NYC photographer. Every trip I made, people would say “you have to go check out the high line!” I would always roll my eyes because I thought it sounded boring. I finally visited myself and I’ll admit I get the hype now. Not only is it a peaceful escape from the city situated in the Meatpacking District, but it offers great views as well.
With an abundance of options for session locations, one way to narrow it down is by zeroing in on what is important to you as a couple. It could be your first date night spot, your favorite corner of Central Park, or simply something you enjoy doing together as a couple. For Linnea and Greg, they chose the High Line since there was a view of their apartment in Hoboken.
I met up with Linnea and Greg for an afternoon stroll and their High Line engagement photos. The New York City June weather was good to us. Despite the afternoon crowds, we were still able to get some intimate photos of just the two of them. In New York City, this is always a challenge, but I think it is also just part of the charm of NYC.
I’m so excited to be Linnea and Greg’s NYC wedding photographer and can’t wait for their Fall 2024 wedding!
How to Get to the High Line
There are several entrances to the High Line, but we chose to enter at the Shake Shake entrance at Gansevoort and Washington.
