Sofia and Travis’s NYC Yacht Wedding was untraditional in more ways than one. From our very first phone call, they made it clear this wouldn’t be a traditional wedding. My first clue that this would be a pretty unique wedding was that it was going to be on a boat! Photos were important to them, but the other traditional stuff was not a priority. From the top live wedding bands to five star restaurants and world-famous artists, Manhattan gives couples a unique opportunity to host a world-class event unlike any other.
Steve and Angela had one of those Prospect Park Boathouse wedding days that feels like it was made for fall. It was right at the tail end of foliage season, so much so that for a second I thought they might have missed peak color, but they didn’t! The park had one last encore in it, and it absolutely showed out.
Dana and Jordan’s River Cafe wedding landed on one of those perfect July summer days in Brooklyn. It was bright, warm, and somehow calm in the middle of the city. I’d photographed their session earlier in the spring and it only made me more excited to be with them again. How do we reserve you for our NYC wedding?
It’s actually really simple. All that's required is a $1000 retainer and a signed contract. After that you can get to the fun stuff!
How would you describe your style?
Your images will be "clean" and "classic." I take a blended approach fusing documentary and editorial wedding photography. You'll see real moments and emotion, but always presented in a beautiful, artistic way.
Do you travel?
It's the best! I love exploring together. There is nothing better than when we share the excitement of finding new places and backdrops for your images. As a wedding photographer New York City is full of endless inspiration! However, I love seeing new places, and I have access to several major airports making travel a breeze.
Do you charge travel fees in NYC?
No, travel within NYC is included.
What size weddings do you typically photograph in New York City?
I've photographed all sizes of weddings in NYC and elsewhere. I truly enjoy the intimacy of smaller weddings and the buzz of big ones. Either way, your story and vision are always the primary focus!
How are the photos delivered?
Photos are delivered through an online gallery which is password protected and allows for easy downloads. It is also shareable with friends and family if you choose.
Do you need a shot list?
Family formal combination lists are very helpful. Otherwise, capturing your story as it happens is top priority. Shot lists can distract from the authenticity of your photos. However, if you have ideas for photos that are important to you, let me know. I'm open to your ideas!
Do you work with planners/venue coordinators to build the photo timeline?
Of course! In NYC, logistics matter more than most cities. I love being involved in the timeline creation process to make sure everything is accounted for.
