Rebecca’s wedding morning was characteristic of the type of overall wedding day she and Garrett had so thoughtfully planned — intimate and meaningful. Calm, quiet, and intentional moments just before heading to the venue were the perfect start to Rebecca’s wedding day. She got ready with a couple of close friends and was joined by her parents later in the morning.

After getting ready at the hotel, their Nasher Sculpture Center Wedding was just a short walk one block over. The thing I love about Nasher Sculpture Center Weddings is that you can dress up this space as much as you’d like, but it really doesn’t require much. Root and Bloom did, however, dress this space up with fall florals in the most stunning way.

Nasher Sculpture Center Wedding Ceremony
The Nasher Sculpture Center wedding ceremony space is one of the big draws for this venue. The weeping willows and the way the light falls through the trees directly in front of the path leading to the sculpture makes it the perfect ceremony space. Behind the sculpture is a water feature that is so peaceful. A Nasher Sculpture Center wedding is the perfect spot for a centrally located venue that makes you forget you are right in the middle of downtown Dallas!

Rebecca and Garrett had a vision for their Nasher Sculpture Center Wedding and that was to enjoy every second possible with their guests. We planned for very minimal formal portrait time with the intention of making the candid moments on their wedding day all that more abundant! As much as I love taking photos of the bride and groom, my favorite photos are always going to be the candid moments no one could have ever planned. To me, that is the magic of photography. The formal portraits we took following the ceremony took probably all of fifteen minutes. Even then, there was very little direction and posing on my end while Rebecca and Garrett were just being present with each other in their newly wedded bliss.

Nasher Sculpture Center Wedding Reception
The first few moments of their wedding reception at Nasher Sculpture Center were just pure magic. It was just becoming dark enough that the fairy lights came on, and it began to cool off just a bit. This lighting magic combined with the bustling energy following the joyous joining of families was unexplainable!
Does Nasher Sculpture Center provide in house catering?
Yes! Wolfgang Puck is the exclusive caterer for Nasher weddings.
I remember Rebecca and Garrett mentioning to me beforehand that they are self-proclaimed foodies and world-travelers, and they were particularly excited about the food at the wedding.

Nasher Sculpture Center Wedding Client Review
“Georgia was fabulous to work with! She understood our desire to have a limited amount of official photo time and just focus on enjoying the evening with our friends and family. She captured great candids throughout the night, from cocktails to the epic dance party. OBSESSED with the previews and can’t wait to see the rest of them! THANK YOU, GEORGIA!!!”
