THE BEST DALLAS WEDDING VENUES
Dallas wedding venues come in all styles, sizes, and prices to choose from. Not only that, but your guests can surely find fun things to do before and after the wedding in a city like Dallas. Being one of the largest cities in Texas, the Dallas wedding venue selection is large and diverse. Dallas has a venue to match every couple’s dream and every couple’s budget. As can be seen in the selection that ranges all the way from glamorous ballrooms to rustic outdoor hideaways.

MUSEUMS AND PUBLIC SPACES AS DALLAS WEDDING VENUES
These are business that operate as a public cultural space most days, but double as Dallas wedding venues as well. As a wedding photographer, these are some of my favorite venues because they really provide an environment with meaning and context, as opposed to a blank-slate style venue.
Nasher Sculpture Center
The Nasher Sculpture Center is for the couple who has an appreciation for the arts. Many of my art aficionado couples choose to get married in a museum because museum-going is significant to them as a couple. The Nasher itself makes a great wedding venue because of its rotating sculpture garden and tranquil water feature. The water features at the back of the garden are most often used for outdoor wedding ceremonies. The sculpture garden also has a lot of trees that offer shade from that infamous Texas heat! Location wise, the Nasher Sculpture Center is in downtown Dallas. Often, Nasher couples will get ready at a nearby hotel in downtown Dallas.
P.S. I put this one first because I asked Chat GPT “what is the best wedding venue in Dallas?” And we BOTH agreed it was the Nasher Sculpture Center.

Dallas Museum of Art
If photography and aesthetics are a wedding priority for you, a Dallas Museum of Art wedding meets that mark. With various stunning indoor and outdoor spaces, there are so many spaces here great for photography. It is also conveniently located in downtown Dallas – another great spot for photo locations if you want some variety. Many of my clients who get married at downtown Dallas venues love to venture out into the city for some street photography on their wedding day.

Dallas Arboretum
The Dallas Arboretum is gorgeously manicured and well-kept all year round, but the appearance does vary throughout the year thanks to Mother Nature! You’ll want to take this in consideration when looking at the Dallas Arboretum as a wedding venue. Firstly, in the spring and summer, the gardens are luscious and bursting with blooms. During the fall, the leaves change color and the weather cools off. Finally, in the winter, the arboretum is decked out in holiday decor for those who might love a festive wedding!

Meyerson Symphony Center
Did you know you can get married at the Meyerson? The Meyerson Symphony Center is traditionally a music venue, but they do rent out the space for weddings and events! This is a great space for a couple who loves a contemporary aesthetic. After all, the modern architecture featured in many of the photos is the big draw for this space. Commonly hosting performances with large numbers of attendees, the Meyerson Symphony Center could be a good space for a couple who is expecting a larger guest count.
Meyerson Symphony Center Starting Cost: $1500

Marie Gabrielle Restaurant
A garden party never goes out of style. Romantic and whimsical, a Bridgerton style wedding is an easy achievement here. The garden is always perfectly manicured and, as a result, makes a romantic backdrop for wedding photos. Since Marie Gabrielle is primarily a restaurant, your wedding cuisine will be no concern at this gourmet establishment. My favorite part of day at Marie Gabrielle is when the sun begins to set and the twinkle lights come on. For this period of time, it feels especially dream-like! While the garden is the primary attraction, the restaurant also offers beautiful interiors.
Marie Gabrielle Starting Cost: $18,000

HOTELS AS DALLAS WEDDING VENUES
These are hotel wedding venues in Dallas. The benefit having a wedding at a hotel is the onsite lodging, of course. If you are looking to make your wedding day as seamless as possible, waking up at your wedding venue and cutting out transportation is a great way to do just that. Often, couples will rent out a hotel room to get ready in so that there is room for all of the bridal party and lots of gorgeous light. Most hotels have great natural light – a wedding photographer’s dream!
Rosewood Mansion at Turtle Creek
Originally built as a residential mansion, Rosewood Mansion at Turtle Creek subsequently became one of the most renowned and luxurious hotels in Dallas. I especially love the European style outdoor ceremony space, situated on the mansion lawn near the pool. The peach stucco walls featured here are unique to the Rosewood Mansion and won’t be found at any other venue in Dallas. While the lawn can be tented, the hotel also offers several other indoor event spaces. From check in to the poolside staff to the valet service, you and your wedding guests will feel like royalty at Rosewood Mansion.

The Adolphus
If you appreciate a building rich in history, the Adolphus may be your wedding venue. They just don’t make buildings like the Adolphus anymore. My favorite spaces are the tea room and the 19th floor ballroom. Both of these rooms are bright and offer tons of natural light. Comparatively, some of the common areas in the hotel are a bit more dimly lit with a vintage, eclectic aesthetic. The Adolphus could be a great compromise if you want the best of both worlds – both bright/airy as well as dark/moody spaces for your wedding day.

The Joule is a luxurious downtown Dallas wedding venue for the contemporary couple who is looking for a modern wedding aesthetic. The rooftop terrace and pool offer an unforgettable skyline backdrop for both ceremonies and portraits. The Joule is a boutique hotel, meaning it offers an especially customizable and personalized experience. The customer service at The Joule is outstanding!

TRADITIONAL DALLAS WEDDING VENUES
Brighton Abbey
Brighton Abbey is a European inspired wedding venue right in Dallas. With both indoor and outdoor options, you can rest assured you’ll have no concerns when it comes to weather concerns on your wedding day. The Olana
Interestingly, when I tell other wedding vendors that I’m a Dallas wedding photographer, they always ask me about this famous wedding mansion, The Olana! Now one of the country’s most famous venues, this mansion was formerly used as a home – a luxurious one at that. It features several bedrooms, a pool house, a movie theatre, a bowling alley, and so much more. In the event that you choose to utilize the bridal suite, you’ll enjoy my favorite room – the Chanel themed room located within the larger bridal suite. With spectacular interiors, this is one mansion you really have to see for yourself! Additionally, the event staff here are also total pros, and they run this mansion like a well-oiled machine!

The Mason
Previously used as a masonic lodge, The Mason is now one of the most regal wedding venues in Dallas. The Mason is definitely a unique, one of a kind wedding venue. Furthermore, I love that the Mason has capitalized on its already unique building bones by incorporating beautifully styled antique, eclectic furniture that still seems so classic and timeless! Personally, my favorite features are the chandeliers in the upstairs ballroom. The Mason can accommodate up to 400 people with standing room and 200 for a seated dinner.

This historic building is nestled right along a park, great for wedding portraits. Although, the steps and porch of Arlington Hall are regal enough for photos that the park may not be necessary. Offering several different indoor, outdoor, as well as tented options, Arlington Hall is versatile for many visions. My favorite aspect are the floor to ceiling windows. This Dallas wedding venue is also one of the largest in the area, accommodating up to 500 guests.

The French Farmhouse
The French Farmhouse is the perfect mix of southern style and French elegance. With all the charm of a country wedding, this modern farmhouse isn’t your typical farmhouse wedding. The farmhouse itself is famous for its picturesque facade commonly featured in the background of wedding day photos. Most recently, the venue has added a stunning chapel to the property that I love. The chapel features a balcony where I’m able to get a unique overhead shot of the ceremony! Additionally, newlyweds are able to have a fun moment ringing the chapel bells upon exiting the ceremony.

Dallas Wedding Venue FAQs
What is the best time to get married in Dallas, Texas?
By far the most popular month to get married in Dallas is October. Every year, I have to turn down clients because October books up so quickly and so far in advance. In Texas, it stays hot further into the fall than other places further north. So by October, ideally the weather is a bit cooler. However, this can make securing wedding vendors tricky. There are often many couples competing for prime dates around this time of year, so it is important to secure your couples as early as possible if you’re aiming for a fall wedding in Dallas!
Where should we host our wedding rehearsal dinner in Dallas?
Many of the venues above may allow you to host your rehearsal dinner at the same place you host your wedding, provided that there is not a wedding there that night. In the event that your venue is unavailable, some other options to consider would be local restaurants or hotel with party rooms.
Can you recommend a Dallas wedding planner?
Of course! I highly recommend working with a Dallas wedding planner when planning a wedding. With this in mind, I can recommend several Dallas wedding planners.
Can you recommend a Dallas wedding florist?
Of course! The florists are some of my favorite vendors to work with because they can absolutely transform a space. Dallas wedding florists are some of the best, and I have several I can recommend.
What is the process for getting married in Dallas?
Getting married in Dallas is fairly straightforward and simple. You will both need to apply for a marriage license at any county clerk’s office. This license is valid for 30 days. Your officiant is responsible for filing the marriage license following the ceremony. A marriage certificate can be acquired upon request. My post on Fort Worth city hall weddings talks about this in depth.
Can you photograph our wedding at one of these Dallas wedding venues?
I would love to see if I’m available for your desired wedding date. Please get in touch at the contact form at the bottom of this page to inquire about my availability!
